1. What is the Book Club in a Bag (BCIB)?
BCIB is a kit specifically designed for book discussion groups. Each kit will typically contain: 8 copies of a title and a folder containing author information, information about the book, and a list of discussion questions. Adult kits will include 6 regular print, 1 large print and 1 audiobook. Youth kits will include 7 regular print books and 1 audiobook. Some kits contain DVDs of the movie adaptation.
2. Who can check out the Book Club in a Bag?
Any patron with a library card in good standing can check out the kits.
3. How can I check out a Book Club in a Bag?
BCIBs will be shelved at the Channahon Library, although with a reservation, they can also be picked up at Minooka. They can be returned to either TRPLD location.
4. How long can I check out a Book Club in a Bag?
BCIB kits will check out for 6 weeks.
5. Can the Book Club in a Bag renewed?
No, the book club in a bag is not renewable.
6. Can I reserve a Book Club in a Bag kit?
Yes, you can reserve a kit by using the online catalog or by calling either library. Please have your library card number available if you reserve by phone.
7. What is the overdue fine for the Book Club in a Bag kit?
Overdues for book kits will be charged at 50¢ per day.
