May the 4th be with you! All day long at the Minooka branch we'll have crafts, games and activities for fans of all ages! Don't miss it, or Jabba won't be happy!

See list of "no registration required" activities below. Movie showing and Star Wars Minecraft events are also available, but require registration. To register, visit those event pages, listed separately on our calendar for May 4th. 

  • 10am-12pm: Drive a droid!-Bring your phone or tablet and try out our Sphero Sprk+ robots! Already a hot shot sphero pilot? Test your skills in our Kessel Run Obstacle Course!

All day (10am-5pm):  

  • Costume Contest- Come in your best Rebel or Imperial attire! Let our staff take your picture (2nd floor) and fill out an entry form. We’ll pick 3 winners and announce them the following week! Grand prize is an R2-D2 Sphero robot!
  • Lightsaber, Cubee paper characters & other crafts
  • Choose your side! Rebel/Imperial Button Making

About the library

The former Minooka Masonic Hall re-opened as the Minooka Branch of the Three Rivers Public Library District in 1992.

The library contains collections for adults, children, and teens; access to public computers, fax, and scanning; and a public meeting room.
