2018 marked the 100th Year Anniversary of the tragic murders of the Royal Russian Imperial Romanov family. On July 17, 1918, tragedy occurred when Tsar Nicholas II, his wife, Tsarina Alexandra, their five children, and four of the family’s servants were brutally murdered by Bolshevik troops under the orders of Ural Regional Soviet. All bodies were accounted for—except one. Princess Anastasia, the youngest of the Romanov daughters, was not found.
