American Girl Club with Ms. Anita (recommended for ages 8+) Third Friday of the month, 4:30-5:30pm at Channahon Library

A different American Girl is featured each month in this monthly book club. Learn about the time period in which each girl lived through books, crafts, and other hands-on activities. Read at least one book featuring the girl of the month before the meeting. Registration required.

After Hours Tween & Teen Laser Tag (open to students in grades 5-12) Third Friday of the month, 6:30-7:30pm at Channahon Library

Register with your friends for this one-of-a-kind event. Team up or challenge your friends and see who will be crowned laser tag champion. Practice your ninja skills and sneak through the stacks to see if you are worthy of a prize. Registration required.

The STEAM Workshop (recommended for ages 5-11) First Saturday of the month, 10:30-11:30am at Minooka Branch

Explore programming, circuits, and engineering with our new STEAM kits. Try your hand at coding with our library robots Dash, Dot, and Sphero. Find out what an Ozobot is. Create a brand new invention with the Makey Makey. This is a drop-off program, but mom & dad may want to stay and play, too! No registration required.

Read with Frog the Dog (recommended for ages 2+) Saturdays (check calendar for exact dates), 10:30-11:30am at Minooka Branch

Up to ten patrons at a time can sign up for a 15 minute slot to read - and SNUGGLE - with our friendly, fluffy friend Frog. Frog is a 9 year old Golden Retriever and certified therapy dog who loves coming to the library and spending time with you! Registration recommended.

Build It! (all ages) Sundays, 1:30-4:30pm at Minooka Branch

LEGOs are just the tip of the iceberg in this drop-in family program. We provide a variety of blocks, Lincoln Logs, K-nex, and more to inspire architects of all ages. No registration required.

Family Laser Tag (5+ Years) Third Sunday of the month, 5:30-6:30pm at Channahon Library
