Bus Trip to Chicago

Art in the City

Join us for a bus trip to Chicago where you have a choice to spend your day at the Art Institute or visit the Gold Coast Art Festival. A waiver is required, and $20 payment due at registration.

Enjoy a day in Chicago exploring art in the city! $20 reserves your seat on the luxury bus for transportation to and from the city.  The bus will leave from the Channahon Library at 10am and you will begin your day with drop off at the Art Institute of Chicago.  You are welcome to visit the Art Institute (admission not included) or the free outdoor art exhibit, The Gold Coast Art Festival, at Grant Park's Butler Field within walking distance of the Art Institute. At the end of the day, meet the bus at the Art Institute (time will be given on the bus) to return to the Channahon Library at approximately 6pm.  Attendees are responsible for any admission or food costs.  Please note that the library will be closed by that time.  Only those 10 years of age and older are allowed on this trip, and anyone from 10-16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.   A waiver is required and due Monday, June 11th.   Visit either library during normal business hours to register; payment is due at the time of registration.
