Hear about the story of those who participated in the events of Christmas 1914, celebrating the great holiday with their "former enemies."
In the week leading up to Christmas in the midst of WWI, a temporary truce broke out as candlelit Christmas trees began appearing along the trench lines, and "Stille Nacht" (Silent Night) could be heard in the distance. Author Rochelle Pennington will draw directly from writings left by soldiers, vintage photos and newspaper articles to tell the story of those who participated in the events of Christmas 1914, celebrating the great holiday with their "former enemies." Registration Required.
