Family Bus Trip

Both the registration and waitlist for this event has filled. The library will contact those waitlisted if space becomes available.

Set sail with us to the Shedd Aquarium! Registration, $18 fee and waiver are required for each person. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Fee includes bus, general admission + Stingray Touch and timed entry to the Penguin 4D experience at 11:00am. 

WAITLIST: If tickets sell out a waitlist will be available. You do not need to pay the fee or sign a waiver if waitlisted. If space becomes available, the library will contact you, at which time payment and waivers will need to be submitted to complete registration. All registration, including the waitlist, will close June 14. 

To register:

1) Register each person attending (only put 1 name per online form). You can also register by calling or coming in to either library. 

2) Pay the $18 fee per person online or in-person at Channahon or Minooka. Payment is due at time of registration.

3) Sign a Minors under 18yrs waiver and/or Adult ages 18+ waiver.  Download pdf copies using the links, or visit either library to get paper copies. Waivers must be turned in prior to the date of the trip. Parents/legal guardians must sign for minors under the age of 18. Turn in waivers to either library or email them to amberm@trpld.org.

Before the trip: 

• Attendees are encouraged to visit the Shedd's website for information on exhibits, food, lockers, prohibited items, etc. prior to the trip. 
• CANCELLATIONS: Cancel before 6pm on Friday, June 14 for a full refund. For cancellations after this deadline, a refund will only be issued if your seat is filled and the replacement has paid in full. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made the day before or day of the trip, or if you do not arrive on time to board the bus. 

Day of the trip:

• Check-in at the Channahon Library between 8:10-8:25am. Bus leaves promptly at 8:30am. 
• Lunch will not be provided. If you bring your own lunch or snacks, please avoid food and drink containing dyes that may stain. All drinks must be in closed containers. NO ALOCHOL ALLOWED. 
• Tickets will only allow attendees into the Penguin 4D Experience at 11:00am.    
• The bus will leave the aquarium to return to Channahon at 3:15pm. Attendees are responsible for making sure they are on the bus when we depart. Instructions on where to meet the bus will be provided the day of the trip. Any attendees not on the bus when we leave will need to find other means of return transportation at their own expense.
