A one-man production of the journey of Louis Jolliet.

2023 was the 350th anniversary of the expedition of Louis Jolliet and Father Jacques Marquette down the Mississippi, which dramatically affected the lives of both those coming to America and those already here. It’s an exciting story of exploration, but also of encounter. This one-man play, Louis Jolliet: A Solid Path Through Water, will offer a connection to both our past and some of the questions that still confront us.

About the library

Opened in 1981, the Channahon Library contains collections for adults, children, and teens; access to public computers, fax, and scanning; and a teen room.  It serves as the administrative headquarters of the library district.
